Advice

Its important how you decide to lead your life...are you the kind of person who depends on others for guidance or are you the one who likes to make your own mistakes and finds your way, Either way you are bound to find a lot of people who will be out there with their bags of advice to give you.. Its important to be patient and listen to those who provide u the same but even more important to know whose advice to buy! Ultimately it is your life that you alone are responsible for! No one will have any special preference for a misguided person, so its your responsibility to know what is good for you!

There are two types of people who would be good at giving advice, one who has had a good life so far and has known what it is like to be successful after working for it this guy will know what to do!, and secondly the kind of person who has had no luck with success and knows what not to do!...And usually people tend to listen to the first kind, but i feel that the second kind also provides important information, he will be the person who will keep you grounded! Here i am not saying that you worry and waste time but its good to know both ways, it reduces your chances of going wrong.

The first set of people who everyone gets advice from is your folks, and this is the most genuine form of advice you will ever get, But from your folks the advice is usually a little too assertive, so much so that you do not want to listen! and this form of advice is mixed with extra concern and a sense of responsibility they feel towards you, because they do not want you to go wrong at all! and this usually is not the best way to get good advice.Hence advice from a third party who has a no gain no loss situation may prove to be more useful!

One who knows this secret will always know who to talk to when in trouble and also the person who will soon not need advice from anybody! :)

To end this i leave you with one of my favorite lines from "The Sunscreen song" by Baz Luhrmann he sums it up beautifully!

"Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
Supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
Fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
Ugly parts and recycling it for more than
It's worth."

phases....

If we were to sit down and try to figure out our life, all that we are bound to find are a series of phases!....We, as humans undergo inevitable and constant change!...For instance the things we believed to be true and followed like a religion some five years ago have mutated so drastically that now those same things do not make sense at all!.... Think about it!...To share a personal experience to prove the same i have this example to give....five years ago i was very sure that i don't want to get into a technical field and that i will never pursue anything close to science and technology...but today here i am on the verge of completing my Engineering in computer science and waiting to join a hard core technical firm! and the funniest part is that i am not even complaining!..

Now to talk about phases.....apart from the common factor that everyone has these various phases in life the most ridiculous part is that most of us undergo the same set of stereotypical phases!....starting from the very beginning!
As children we all have had the first phase where we couldn't stay a minute away from our mothers...and then slowly came the babysitting phase where we threw countless tantrums to avoid going there and later the same continued till nursery!....sometimes i wonder how all of us thought of "stomachache" as the sole excuse for bunking school! i mean where did we learn that from!?!....o'course we all eventually did understand that there is no way out and school is the place where we get to spend our day!......

Soon after this comes the phase where we slowly detach from our folks!....suddenly friends become the center of your life!...your friends approval counts more than your parents!...and soon your parents become "uncool" and the only conversations that you have with your folks is studies and marks!...

Then comes the college phase.....We all enter college life with a lot of hope and anxeity!..We hope for a life changing experience here and we are anxious about all that is about to change!....We tend to believe that this is the real world...which is the biggest mistake we all tend to make....we see achievers in making here....we get the first taste of failure also here...We worry about things that later we are bound to laugh at!...we fight over things that mean the world to us but later they loose its significance....we fall in and out of love...some are lucky to find their ultimate soulmate here, and others learn to deal with constant heartbreak!............So here i am standing at the end of this beautiful phase and waiting to see what this life has in store for me ahead! :)
